More sights I saw this morning:
Entrance to Parcent Garden
Statue in the garden--another fountain turned off.
The other standing gateway in Valencia, Torres de Quart. The bullet and cannonball holes were preserved as a memorial to the Peninsular War, when Napoleon's troops attacked in 1808.
Inside the church
Some tile work inside. There were tiles throughout the church.
An F-86 Sabre jet from the Spanish Air Force, Parc de l'Oest
Chapel of St. Lucia. This is near the place we stayed in January. It's associated with the Hospital de los Pobres Inocentes, the one that is now a library (yes, I am back here again).
When I went by this time, it was open, although there was a mass about to start. I just took this picture of the altar.
Not quite as many pictures this time, but did more walking than usual this morning. By the time I reached the chapel, it was almost lunch. Time to head back to the apartment to get some laundry done and eat leftovers for lunch. Did I tell you that slow travel isn't always glamorous?
