The Generalitat Valenciana (Oct 6, 2025)

As part of the holiday I mentioned earlier, Valencia has a number of special programs and events to celebrate it.  Generalitat Valenciana is Valencian for--roughly--the Valencian Community and its executive office is in (of course) Valencia in the Borja Palace.  You've seen a picture of this from the outside earlier (and from our trip in January), but it's usually closed.  One of the special events is free entry to the palace--and you know I was planning for that.  Some pictures:

Golden room--where visitors wait

Royal portraits--the larger one is King Alfonso XIII

Panoramic view of the Sala Nova

"Deputies of the Royal Towns," by Vicente Mestre

Sala Nova

Sala del Reis

Conference Room

That's it for the tour--there weren't a lot of rooms, and while I'm sure there were more in the huge palace, those were probably offices and workplaces.  Also, I did this while Fe was at the dentist so I hurried back.  I think she's almost done with that now--at least we're hoping so.
