Our time in Paris was great, but I was ready to move on to see more of France. Our next stop was Dijon--the place famous for the mustard. It's a city of over 156,000 people 318 km (198 mi) SE of Paris and it took us about three hours to get there by train.
The train left Paris from Gare de Lyon--stress point number one since the last time we were here (to go to Fontainebleau) it seemed pretty chaotic. We scoped it out before we left and found a better way to get there and find our train, so it wasn't nearly as bad as the first time.

Our first high-speed train in France
We arrived at the Dijon train station around 1 pm, had a quick lunch at Paul's (sort of a French Starbucks) and since our place wasn't quite ready, had some coffee.
A couple of cappuccinos
We got a text from our host that our place was ready a bit early, so we left to check it out and finally stop dragging our luggage around.

Necessary appliances. Fe wants an electric kettle when we get home.

I was pleased with the place--it's a more residential area, but it's only about a ten-minute walk to the Old Town. Plus, it seems Dijon has a good bus network to get around so we'll be exploring soon.
