Dijon in the Evening (Oct 30, 2025)

Today we did our more serious exploring in the late afternoon and evening.  It's not called golden hour for nothing since the fall colors here really popped--even for color-blind me.

Buildings facing Darcy Plaza

Monument to François Pompon, 1937.  Pompon was a famous animal sculptor.

Fountain in Darcy Park.  This is the first stop on the Owl Walk.

The famous Moutarde Maille

Hôtel de Luz, a private mansion

Church of St. John, the Dijon Burgundy Theater since 1974.

The wooden doors

Baptismal font

Church organ

Side altar and stained glass windows

Lots of pictures on this post, but it was all in the late afternoon and evening.  Tomorrow is a day trip, so we didn't want to exhaust ourselves today.
